SF Recruitment are delighted to be working with a niche manufacturing business based in Telford who are looking to recruit a Financial Controller to join the team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for a stable business who are the absolute leaders in their market, with plans to grow internationally. The progression route for this position will be the succession plan to the Finance Director.

You will be a key cog in the finance machine, ensuring robust financial controls, take charge when it comes to statutory submissions as well as be the key business contact with HMRC. The ideal candidate will be a qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) with strong financial controls and stats experience, gained either from practice or industry.

Role:

- Manage transactional team and have full oversight of ledger management
- Ensure financial processes, systems and controls are robust and operation efficiently
- Maintain statutory submissions for the business
- Tax management including VAT, Corporation Tax, R&D etc)
- Fixed asset maintenance
- Treasury management
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Key point of contact for audit
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Ad hoc duties as required

Requirements:

- ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified/Finalist
- Experience in manufacturing desirable
- Experience producing statutory accounts
- Strong controls experience
- Advanced Excel Skills
- Strong communication skills
