Kenneth Brian Associates have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Business Partner in a busy and ambitious team based in the heart of the Manor Royal (Crawley).

The role of Business Partner, is key to the success of the business and would work well with someone who is looking to move into a career of business partnering.

Job purpose/summary:

  • Business partnering key stakeholders in Operations and across the business, providing financial support, analysis, and insight to support key business decisions.
  • Adding value to drive the business forward and upholding strong financial controls and governance.

Key Accountabilities and decision ownership:

  • Support the preparation and management of budgets, forecasts, and outlooks for the business, understanding movements between current and previous trends, identifying any potential future risks as well as opportunities.
  • Supporting preparation of management accounts and cost centre reports.
  • Point of contact and key business partner for all Inventory (P&L and Balance Sheet) related month end closing activities.
  • Understand contract variances, highlighting any underlying trends.
  • Provide advice & support to cost centre managers on understanding cost variances across the business and drive improved cost efficiency.

Must have:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build cross functional (non-finance) relationships
  • Must be numerate and analytical, with ability to present complex information concisely
  • Highly IT (advanced Excel) and ERP literate
  • High level of autonomy working proactively & independently
  • Capable of working at pace and under pressure, able to manage and prioritise to deadlines
  • Highly motivated, commercially minded individual with can do attitude
  • Must be a team player and values driven
  • High levels of quality and accuracy in aspects of work
