Junior Estimator - Site Engineer background

Junior Estimator - Required to join a large leading and award winning Civil engineering and tunnelling company based in Belfast. The Junior Estimator would suit a Site Engineer or Site Agent with 2-5 years site experience, seeking move in to a Commercial role. The company are an international business, winning awards on major projects they have completed. This company have been established for over 30 years with a £114 Million turnover and they deliver a high quality service in a range of areas including complex infrastructure projects.

Junior Estimator Position Overview

• Receiving Invitation to Tender (ITT) documents and meticulously highlighting relevant tender information and related specifications to ensure compliant bids
• Material Take Off Support
• Utilising Microsoft Project for programming of works
• Developing proficiency in using the Conquest estimating program.
• Maintaining the Cost library database
• Compiling compliant submission documents for tender packages
• Conducting site visits to gain a thorough understanding of projects needs

Junior Estimator Position Requirements

• Degree Educated, Working Towards Chartership.
• Site Experience in Tunnelling or Civil Engineering
• Contractual understanding, mainly NEC 3 and NEC 4 beneficial
• Project Planning and Programming experience
• Strong understanding of heavy civils, tunnelling, and trenchless works would be beneficial
• UK Driving Licence
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Project

Junior Estimator Position Remuneration

• Salary: up to £45k DOE
• 23 day's holiday plus 8 days Bank Holidays
