Junior Buyer

We are looking for a driven, hard-working Junior Buyer to join our client based in Peterborough. This is an excellent opportunity to join a globally renowned, market leading manufacturer through a sustained period of growth.

If you’re ambitious and want to learn, develop, and grow, then this is the perfect opportunity for you. You will get the opportunity to learn everything across their supply chain from experienced professionals. The aim for you is to grow into the Senior Buyer position over the next 18 to 24 months with the ability to be guided by the current Senior Buyer during that time.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assisting the Senior Buyer across the entire supply chain
  • Dealing with suppliers
  • Raising POs
  • Supporting with logistics and sending goods
  • Aiding with customs paperwork, and supporting with the importing and exporting of products
  • Helping Goods In to manage stock control
  • Helping to implement protocol changes due to external factors (Brexit, etc)
  • Managing the required paperwork
  • Planning work for Service Engineers

Person Specification

  • Experience within a manufacturing/engineering background would be beneficial but not essential
  • Experience within buying, procurement, logistics, supply chain, or office administration would be beneficial
  • Excellent attention to detail, with impeccable accuracy of work
  • Hardworking, driven, and motivated
  • Keen to learn and develop
  • A no job is too small mentality

Hours of Work and Pay

  • Monday to Friday
  • 37 hours a week
  • Up to £30,000
  • 25 days holiday
  • Company pension
