Page Personnel are partnering with a successful business who are looking for a Junior Accountant to join their accountancy team on a full time permanent basis.

Client Details

Our client is a very successful business that has seen rapid growth in the past 12 months. They are based in Fareham and do require travel to their offices but also offer a hybrid model of working.

Description

As the Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for:

  • Responsible for a portfolio of clients;
  • Liaising directly with clients;
  • Reporting directly to directors;
  • Completing the monthly management accounts and book keeping;
  • Accounts preparation;
  • Preparation of corporation tax returns and related computations;
  • Preparation of self-assessment returns and non-resident company returns;
  • Providing accounting support to clients;
  • Preparation of VAT Returns;
  • A working knowledge of excel is required;
  • Assisting with managing client relationships with HM Revenue & Customs;
  • Advising clients with regards to their statutory obligations;
  • Direct responsibility for monitoring the efficient delivery of our services to each client in their portfolio and, indirectly, the responsibility for maximising the profitability of the client as follows by monitoring own work to ensure timely and efficient completion.

Profile

To be successful for the Junior Accountant position, you must:

  • Be studying towards an accountancy qualification (ACCA/ACA)
  • Be able to work as part of a team as well as independently
  • Ideally a degree which includes aspects finance
  • Be keen to learn new skills

Job Offer

Salary £20,000 - £25,000
