Our client a leading firm, require a trainee/graduate accountant with ideally six months experience to join their team

You will have experience in a practice (firm of accountants), or strong grades in maths/relevant degree

  • Must have sound working knowledge of double entry book-keeping
  • Ability to produce basic accounts from incomplete records
  • Sound knowledge of accounting software (Sage50C, Sage Accounts Online, Xero)
  • Good working knowledge of spreadsheets
  • Must have good communication skills
  • Use of own caressential
  • Self-motivated and responsible
  • Good time management skills as maybe working on multiple assignments

JOB DESCRIPTION

As part of a 7 partner practice, you will get involved with a wide variety of tasks such as:

· Preparing accounts for small and medium sized entities including preparation of corporation tax returns

· Preparation of personal tax returns

· Working on audits for various sized clients

· Maintaining client records on Sage (or similar accounting package) and production of management accounts

· Will involve work based both in the office and at clients’ premises

· Will involve liaising directly with clients

· Will involve working in London on certain assignments

· Opportunities to progress in the future for those who demonstrate appropriate skills

Qualification

This opportunity would be ideal for someone who is currently studying towards their AAT or ACCA qualification.
