Junior Account Executive | Hybrid | FMCG Food

Our client is a leading food group who partner with major worldwide retailers, manufacturers and food service operators they are now looking to strengthen the front-line customer management team with the appointment of a dynamic Sales Account Executive.

THE ROLE

The role will support the Account Managers who focus on key retail accounts. Reporting into the Account Manager, you will support them with administrative and data analysis activities, you will also support in executing promotional plans and conducting competitor analysis, whilst also delivering consistently high customer service: same day response, prioritisation and solving of customer "issues" within agreed time frames

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assisting the Retail Account Manager with key accounts as and when necessary be a key point of contact for customers, covering also, in the absence of the Account Manager
  • Work as part of a wider team to drive business success.
  • Daily support on handling communications both internally and externally
  • Support the Account Manager in new contract costs and sales force briefs
  • Review contract sales and run out dates
  • Keep up to date on retail market - Perform GAP analysis and store visits on both

current categories but also highlight key opportunities

  • Attend meetings with buyers and internal partners as and when required
  • Assist the Account Manager on the Management of critical paths on key events and new product launches
  • Understand clearly the requirements of key accounts and be able to Identify potential opportunities
  • Work collaboratively with other internal functions to ensure effective communication
  • Work as part of a wider team to drive business success.
  • when it comes to building and maintaining central files such as sales reports, category performance
  • and promotional analysis reports.
  • Put the customers’ needs at the center of everything you do

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • You must be highly numerate with good analytical skills
  • Knowledge of the customer base/end user and experience within FMCG Sector is preferred
  • Demonstrate being able to work within a fast-paced environment as part of a team while also having the ability to work under your own initiative
  • You'll be great when it comes to being client facing as you will be required to complete regular store visits and provide in depth reports with photographic evidence of promotional and merchandising compliance, together with competitor activity
  • Excellent Communication skills and attention to detail
  • Highly organised with good planning skills and the ability to manage projects across different

customers, and internally with different departmental functions.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A recent Graduate with a food related degree, or a minimum of 12months sales experience - FMCG is preferred but not essential
  • Experience using Excel and PowerPoint
  • Highly organised and able to prioritise opportunities in a fast-paced environment
  • A team player, always looking at what is best for the business
  • Regular travel may be required
  • Driving license is desirable.
