Japanese Speaking Vice President - European Business

A Japanese bank based in London is currently recruiting a Japanese Speaking Vice President to work in their Banking Business Strategy for their European Department.

In this role you will be responsible for the formulation of business strategy, business plan formulation and profit management for offices, as well as the business promotion of offices under the jurisdiction of EMEA. This position assists the CEO for EMEA and ED management decisions for the responsible areas.

TYPE: Permanent, full-time
WORKING HOURS: 9:00-17:00 from Monday to Friday
SALARY: Up to £100k (depending on experience)
START: ASAP
LOCATION: London (Hybrid working available)

Japanese Speaking Vice President - European Business Main Responsibilities:

• Supporting MEO and ED management for your responsible area
• Guiding and giving advice to front offices in your responsible area
• Liaising with Head office and coordinating with relevant regional offices
• Completing other tasks assigned by management
• Collecting, analysing, and presenting market information to senior management to support their strategic business decisions
• Responsibilities will cover two companies
• Adhering to the Dual Hat Policies & Procedures which set out the permitted activities and ensure you conduct yourself accordingly, when acting in a dual hat capacity
• Responsibility for identifying and resolving differences or conflicts in needs, escalating where required
• Adhering to the Group’s Dual Hat Policies & Procedures, regulatory & compliance obligations and any other applicable policies made available to you, and as updated on occasion

Japanese Speaking Vice President - European Business Ideal Candidate:

• Excellent knowledge of international banking business
• Understanding strategy and policy
• Good presentation and communication skills
• Business level of fluency in both English and Japanese
• Handling data with great accuracy
• Excellent PC (Excel, Power point, Market Data Vendor) skills
• Efficient time management skills
• Good teamwork and communication with colleagues in EMEA and Head Office
• Motivation to achieve relevant assignments solving difficulties for oneself
• Fair and reasonable thinking to make recommendation to management
• Desire to improve career and skills by learning
