Japanese Speaking Relationship Manager

A Japanese bank based in London is currently recruiting a Japanese Speaking Relationship Manager.

In this role you will be responsible for the relationship management, customer credit, document process and controls, customer satisfaction, and education and self-development.

This role is to be a Relationship Manager facing off to important clients, so candidates will need excellent client relationship management skills.

TYPE: 12-month fixed term contract (could become perm depending on the workload next year)
WORKING HOURS: 9:00-17:00 from Monday to Friday
SALARY: Up to £56k (depending on experience)
START: ASAP
LOCATION: London (Hybrid working available)

Japanese Speaking Relationship ManagerMain Responsibilities:

• To develop and enhance business relationship with Japanese Corporate customers and Asian Corporate / FI customers
• Explore business opportunities, structure transaction team, organise and control important milestones for the goals, and generate maximized profit from transactions
• Monitor periodically customer’s financial conditions and evaluate if the rating is appropriate
• Review the business plan with customers and manage appropriate credit exposure with customers
• Precisely control legal and any business-related documents with customers.
• Understand customers’ needs, provide the best solutions and maximize the customer satisfaction.
• Develop banking relationship with people in the specific industries or financial institutions

Japanese Speaking Relationship Manager Ideal Candidate:

• Fluent English and Japanese language skill both written and spoken
• Good Sales and Marketing experience in the financial industry
• Good analysis skills B/S, PL, Cash Flow, Credit Rating, Credit applications
• Good knowledge of Corporate Finance, Project Finance, Trade Finance, Treasury
• Business level of fluency in both English and Japanese
• Excellent PC (Word, Excel, and Power point) skills
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Customer-centric career experience
• Knowledge of financial products (mainly Credit): Excellent knowledge of M&A, DCM, Acquisition finance, Trust would be advantageous
• Any previous experience working in Asian banks would be very advantageous
