Investment Manager (lower / mid-market Private Equity)

Investment Manager opportunity within an established lower / mid-market private equity investor offering involvement in new investments, portfolio management and value creation.

The Company

An established lower / mid-market Private Equity Investor with a proven record of investing into ambitious, innovative SMEs and delivering strong growth and value at exit. The firm invests typically c.£5m - £30m to support MBO's and growth through acquisition, enabling portfolio businesses to expand across the UK and Internationally.

The Opportunity

Joining the Investment Team as an Investment Manager you will be fully involved in the execution of investments into established SME and high-growth entrepreneurial businesses. As an Investor you will support MBO's and help drive growth within innovative businesses through commercial strategy and bolt-on acquisitions. You will work closely with Directors and Partners internally and with Board / C-Suite within portfolio businesses adding value throughout the life-cycle of investments.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

• Sourcing and evaluating new investment opportunities and supporting Investment Committee processes
• Supporting Partners in executing the firm’s investment strategy, playing a key role in Value Creation within portfolio companies
• Working closely with Management Teams to execute acquisitions and growth strategy
• Handling follow-on / bolt-on acquisitions, overseeing key aspects of transaction processes
• Building effective working relationships with advisors, introducers and management teams

The Person

You will be a Corporate Finance or Investment professional able to demonstrate the following:

• M&A Lead Advisory or Transaction Advisory experience at lower / mid-market level (c.3-4 years)
• Background within either Top 4 Practice, Investment Bank or Strategy Consulting firm
• Professionally qualified (ACA or CFA)
• A strong desire to work within mid-market Private Equity and to be instrumental in the growth and success of entrepreneurial SME businesses operating within exciting, high-growth sectors
