International Export Control Manager

Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in one of Europe's leading defence businesses? My client is seeking an experienced International Export Control Manager to join their dynamic team in Preston, working on a hybrid basis.

About the Role
As the International Export Control Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for international programs within the 'air' business division. Your main responsibilities will include understanding key program deliverables and ensuring compliance with export licencing requirements. This role requires strong leadership skills as you will be leading a small team and guiding them through various export control processes. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure seamless coordination and execution of export control activities. Additionally, you will stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes to proactively adapt their export control strategies.

Key Responsibilities
You will lead and manage a small team responsible for international export control activities. In this role, you will develop and implement robust export control processes and procedures and you will liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with export control laws and regulations. You will conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and mitigate potential risks.

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• Prior experience in export control/export licencing within a military, defence, or aerospace environment - ESSENTIAL
• Demonstrable leadership experience, with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
• Up-to-date knowledge of international export licencing laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
