Internal HR & Regional Talent Acquisition Specialist in South West London - Offers some hybrid working and visits to other sites in the South East Region.

Salary Circa: £40,000 - £42,000 Plus Benefits

Do you have good Generalist HR knowledge gained through previous roles within HR, maybe as a HR Administrator, HR Officer or through your CIPD studies? Do you also have experience of and a passion for Talent Acquisition, with the skills & ability to manage concurrent recruitment processes from start to finish, across multiple sites?

If so, this permanent Internal HR & Talent Acquisition Specialist role should be of considerable interest as it offers you the opportunity to be both the first port of call for HR advice & guidance from the multiple sites in the Southeast region and drive the Talent Acquisition activities for those sites, recruiting across a range of different White & Blue Collar disciplines that the business needs including Engineers, Production staff, Drivers & Logistics specialists.

As the Internal HR & Regional Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will play a key role in that success, utilising your confident communication and decision-making abilities to guide managers and the leadership teams in how to identify, recruit and retain high quality individuals into the organisation, both through direct resourcing and via agency partners.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Managing both blue collar and white-collar recruitment & recruitment administration from end to end, including using the internal ATS & through working with the Recruitment Agency partners
  • Undertaking initial screening and providing recommended short lists to hiring managers
  • Administration of the Recruitment Inbox for speculative enquiries & applications
  • Collating and tracking of agency hours and reasons for agency usage across the region.
  • Providing reports to the Regional Director and HR Business Partner.
  • Logging, updating and distribution on Vacancy tracker to the senior HR team on a weekly basis.
  • Effective utilisation of job boards, job centres, social media and head hunting via local attraction channels for Monthly and Weekly roles.
  • Screening CV’s for roles and making sure the recruiting managers and sites have effective candidate management processes in place.
  • Understanding blue collar recruitment trends and continually recommending new ways to attract talent
  • Managing all first line employee relation queries to Plants, escalating complex queries to the HR Business Partner
  • Attending networking events, job centres, recruitment fairs, liaising with local colleges / universities for seasonal recruitment
  • Measuring ROI of different resourcing methods and using insights to make informed recommendations around job board investment
  • Maintaining and updating the Agency PSL, working closely with other regions on preferred usage / performance / rates.
  • Raising Purchase orders to ensure smooth payment to agency partners
  • Reporting on and monitoring the number of roles filled and other key metrics including time to offer candidates and devising recommendations on how to improve them
  • To complete contracts of employment and issue within the SLA
  • Working closely with the local management teams and Regional HRBP to combine successful attraction strategies, with established processes to create the most effective end to end recruitment operation
  • Coaching recruiting managers on effective induction and on-boarding processes, making sure the probation period is managed in line with procedure.
  • Assisting managers to understand HR policies and procedures
  • Keeping up with employment legislation, helping to ensure the company stays compliant at all times.
  • Inputting new starters on the payroll system and notifying relevant stakeholder
  • Requesting references for new employees and communicating responses to managers
  • Ensuring the company’s vision, values, policies and procedures are adhered to at all times
