We’re currently seeking a professional Internal Communications Manager to join a growing international law firm with a focus on intellectual property established across Eurpoe. The role of Internal Communications Manager will see you play a crucial role within the marketing team, developing and implementing effective communications strategies within the business to build on the existing internal communications across the businesses European counterparts.

This is a brand new position that will have a focus on maintaining a positive and informed team and supporting a strong workplace culture creatively to increase engagement across the entire firm as growth continues. Mainly, the role of Internal Communications Manager will provide strategic direction and leadership on the development of the internal comms strategy, as well as translating strategic activity into relatable communications to the rest of the business and regularly reviewing the comms delivery channel(s) to ensure key business messages are being delivered in the most effective manner.

Key responsibilities of the Internal Communications Manager:

  • Work with the Marketing Director to advise on the development of the internal communications strategy
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across the firm to understand collective objectives
  • Create, edit and proofread internal communications across a range of formats
  • Create compelling and informative employee engagement content
  • Work across a range of diverse communication channels promoted across Europe
  • Be able to work with in-country experts to ensure that internal communications are effective across all the firms European offices.
  • Support initiatives by working with the relevant stakeholders within the firm to communicate to the internal audience effectively
  • Track and collect feedback on the impact of the internal communications strategy and utilise metrics to measure initiatives to ensure that they are effective and meet the needs of the firm.
  • Provide guidance to managers on internal communications to their teams.
  • Work closely with HR, Leadership and other departments to ensure that we achieve alignment of all internal communications efforts with the firm’s overall business objectives.
  • Collaborate with the external communications team in the UK & Germany to maintain consistency in messaging.

Key attributes, experience and skill set:

  • Proven track record in a similar role from within professional services
  • Ideally experience of working in a multinational firm with global messaging
  • Academic background in line with marketing, communications, publications or literature
  • Experience of delivering internal communications throughout times of change management
  • Strong stakeholder management
  • Confident with a range of communication channels
  • Experience in tendering for new business and completing tender documents
  • Excellent organisational skills, dynamic and self-motivated
  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of best practices with internal communications
  • Knowledge of French, German of Dutch languages advantageous, not essential
