Interim Reporting Manager

Robert Half are exclusively partnering with a division of a PLC based in Wexham, Buckinghamshire. This role is being recruited to back-fill the Reporting Manager who is seconding onto a project for a 9 - 12 month period. Due to business growth, this role could well go from temporary to permanent in the above stated period.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation and management of the management reporting process, including crafting monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts
• Develop and maintain management reporting frameworks
• Review and approve journals prepared by the team in a timely and supportive manner
• Be responsible for publishing reporting packages in the consolidation system, covering Flash, Actual, Corporate Social Responsibility, and year-end packages
• Review monthly reporting packs and providing insightful commentary analysis on profit and loss variances and balance sheet intricacies
• Ensure that balance sheet reconciliations are completed, reviewed, and signed off monthly,
• Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external auditors
• Actively manage a team of qualified accountants, providing regular guidance, goal and objective setting, feedback, performance reviews, and appraisals
• Undertake various ad-hoc duties where required

The ideal candidate:

• ACCA / CIMA / ACA qualified (essential for this role)
• In-depth knowledge of the month-end process and a strong understanding of accounting standards, regulations, and frameworks
• Excellent communication skills
• Line management experience (essential)
