£200 per day ( £50K-£55K equivalent)

My client a well-established and reputable trade association membership body is currently looking for an Interim Public Affairs and Policy Manager.

The Role of Interim Public Affairs and Policy Manager

The experienced interim Public Affairs and Policy Manager will be the senior person in the organisation providing policy and public affairs work and will be responsible for Public Affairs and Policy Officer.

Duties include:

  • Induction of new Public Affairs and Policy Officer.
  • Taking the responses to Future of the Profession Survey, and, with senior members of the team and the Public Affairs and Policy Officer, utilise the results to:
    • Prepare a session to be delivered by the CEO at the Annual Conference setting out the key findings from the survey.
    • Develop a strategy as to how they could utilise the responses from the survey to direct the membership work for the remainder of the year.
    • Begin implementing that strategy.
  • With a general election expected in October of this year they would be asking the interim to develop a manifesto (in conjunction with the CEO, Council and policy committees) asking for key issues on behalf of the profession.
  • Continuing the general policy and public affairs work including the delivery of three roundtables which are planned on the subjects of Public Sector collaboration with the profession, Past Presidents roundtable to support the Future of the Profession work, Diversity and Inclusion roundtable.
