HYBRID, strategic Interim Procurement Advisor (Category Buyer level) role!

We are looking for a Procurement Specialist to join a successful, rapidly growing environmental firm based in Doncaster / other sites around the UK – see below. This is a fantastic opportunity for a procurement specialist who enjoys strategic end-to-end tender management, onboarding and supplier management.

This role offers 3 days from home, the ability to be based at any of their key sites: Doncaster, Oxford, Lincoln, Nottingham or Edinburgh.

As well as a salary, THEY OFFER A CAR ALLOWANCE in recognition of there being some travel requirements over the 12 months. A full, clean Drivers License and full access to own vehicle is therefore essential.

There is a chance for the role to become permanent at the end of the 12 month FTC.


Our client is looking for an experienced procurement individual who can develop and implement procurement policies and procedures whilst providing procurement advice, ensuring the H&S of staff and approved suppliers/sub-contractors. This is coupled with the aim to minimise the impact to the environment and achieving expectations in terms of service and quality.

Key duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the procurement of a variety of Energy from Waste requirements, including commodities, services and projects
  • Manage strategic procurement projects and initiatives
  • Ascertain internal key stakeholders requirements within the division
  • Perform full tender process – RFQs, evaluation of quotes, identification, onboarding to frameworks and integrate, review and maintain the group supplier base, maximising efficiency
  • Work closely with the SHEQ team to ensure suppliers comply with group requirements
  • Manage supplier relationships in order to achieve maximum efficiency
  • Address and resolve any procurement-related problems

Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain would be keen to speak with candidates who have the following skills and experiences:

  • Experience in STRATEGIC procurement and contract management – i.e. full management of tendering process, through to onboarding suppliers experience - ESSENTIAL
  • Experience of purchasing commodities, services and capital projects
  • Experience in the Energy, Waste Management, Engineering Services sectors ideal, but not essential
  • Proficient in use of MS Office suite, particularly MS Excel
  • CIPS qualification desirable
