6 month assignment with the possibility of a permanent role, working with a progressive FD in a project capacity to document and improve costing processes in a fast paced manufacturing business

Client Details

£200m t/o, privately owned, multi-site manufacturing business based North of Derby, commutable from South Yorkshire and Nottingham

Description

Initially a 6 month project to include understanding and documenting, year end, month end and weekly standard costing procedures, with the opportunity to grow and to add additional business partnering services to the group.

  • Update standard costs in the bill of materials
  • Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies
  • Understand Job variances, PPV's, Production recoveries
  • Validate the cost of goods sold as part of month-end close
  • Revise/review and provision obsolete inventory as needed
  • Report on periodic variances and their causes. And where applicable drivers i.e., split between price, volume and mix split between
  • Be the conduit between Finance and Operations to bring the monthly numbers to life and add operational value

Profile

You will be a qualified or QBE Finance Manager with a deep understanding of Manufacturing accounting, standard costing, and have considerable exposure to ERP systems.

Job Offer

Initial 6 month contract at £350-£400p/d Outside IR35, with the possibility of a longer term / permanent role
