Interim Office Administrator

Job Type: Part-time, Fixed Term Contract (6 months)



Reed is working with a company that specialises in the acquisition and management of non-life insurance and reinsurance companies. We are seeking an interim Office Administrator to join our team in Worthing. This part-time role requires a commitment of 10.5 hours over Tuesdays and Thursdays for up to 6 months.

Day to Day of the role:

Efficiently handle incoming physical mail by scanning and directing it to the appropriate recipients.

Serve as the point of contact for building maintenance and cleaning.

Manage reception duties and ensure a welcoming environment for visitors.

Collaborate with the London Office Administrator for office supply purchases and disaster recovery planning.

Implement and maintain compliance with office documentation, policies, and procedures.

Oversee administrative onboarding and offboarding processes for staff.

Maintain office equipment and coordinate maintenance service calls.

Recommend invoices for facilities expenses to the UK Head of Operations.

Support the organisation and delivery of Worthing-based social events within agreed budgets.

Coordinate catering for client and other office meetings.

Maintain office and kitchen supplies inventory.

Coordinate offsite document archiving and retrieval.

Provide cover for the London Office Administrator during their absence.

Ensure office coverage on Tuesdays and Thursdays.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience in office administration or a similar role.

Excellent organisational and time-management skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Proficiency in office management systems and procedures.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
