Interim Management Accountant

Global Accounting Network are partnering exclusively with a high end jewellery client who have grown significantly in the last year and looking to add to their finance function. The client is looking to hire an interim Management Accountant for 3-6 months to focus on delivering their month end reporting.

As the interim Management Accountant, this position reports into the Finance Director and will sit in a wider team of 8.

Main responsibilities:

• Own the end to end monthly closing process
• Manage the balance sheet reconciliation process
• Prepare and distribute the internal reports looking at P&L by channel, region and department
• Asses the results against the budget with the budget holders
• Continuously seek improvements within the month end process and reporting methods
• Assist with overseeing a Finance Assistant who is responsible for the AP & AR ledgers
• Support the Head of Financial Control with reporting & external audit requirements
• Ad hoc Month end tasks

Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified Accountant
• Strong month end experience, ideally owned the process
• Audit experience is beneficial
• MUST have retail or e-commerce experience
• Strong excel skills and ability to manipulate large sets of data
• Used to a high volume of transactions
