Interim Management Accountant

Finance Analyst Position at a leading Media Group:

Our client, renowned for maximizing performance through collaboration, trading, content creation, and digital innovation, is seeking a Finance Analyst to join their Finance Team based in central London.

Job Description:

• Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this role entails the timely and precise preparation of monthly management accounts for reporting to both management and global stakeholders.
• The successful candidate will excel in detailed variance analysis and will collaborate with the transactional team on Payables, Receivables, and reporting.
• Additionally, this role will support key financial objectives aimed at enhancing operational efficiencies within the team and the broader business.

Day2Day Responsibilities:

• Execute month-end processes, including accruals, prepayments, and journal preparation adhering to relevant principles.
• Prepare monthly Management Accounts reconciled to TB and conduct monthly variance analysis and exception reporting.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls through month-end folder preparation and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Facilitate Group reporting by liaising with regional and global teams, submitting commentaries, and preparing quarterly and year-end packages.
• Engage in business partnering activities, providing analytical support and adding value to operational teams.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, reviewing processes, and implementing enhancements for better control and efficiency.
• Address ad hoc queries from Finance Plus and undertake additional projects as required.

Skills and Qualifications:

• ACA/CA/CAANZ Qualified
• Experience in Audit and/or an FP&A function
• Intermediate/advanced level proficiency in Excel.
• Organized with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to adapt to changing work allocation and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical, reconciliation, and communication skills.
• Enthusiastic with a proactive attitude, capable of working independently and collaboratively.
