~~ INTERIM INTERNAL CONTROLS & TRANSFORMATION LEAD - 12 MONTH CONTRACT - BRISTOL - HYBRID WORKING - £95k - £100k PER ANNUM~~

My client, a market leading organisation, is recruiting an Interim Internal Controls & Transformation Lead to drive transformation efforts and manage the delivery of the companies annual financial controls assurance plan.

Key Responsibilities Of Interim Internal Controls & Transformation Lead:

  • Supervising the development and implementation of a multi-year financial controls transformation plan
  • Defining policies, standards, methodologies, and metrics to ensure consistent delivery of controls transformation across all business units
  • Collaborating with the companies transformation programs to integrate financial control requirements into their delivery plans
  • Defining and managing the annual financial controls assurance plan to support board sign off of the accounts and completion of disclosures in relation to the effectiveness of financial controls
  • Managing the Financial Control Group Risk Category (GRC) and contributing to companies broader risk management and control framework
  • Compiling monthly CFO dashboards, biannual risk category reports, and board papers to provide updates on the financial control framework's status
  • Providing guidance and assistance to unit financial control leads
  • Identifying and implementing opportunities to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the financial control framework

Key Skills & Experiences Of Interim Internal Controls & Transformation Lead:

  • Delivery: lead multiple virtual teams to drive successful delivery of business outcomes, as well as coaching others
  • Business & Financial Acumen: Possess in-depth knowledge of factors driving organisational performance improvement, including both the human aspects of performance and financial literacy. Demonstrate the ability to influence business performance effectively
  • Matrix Working: Feel at ease working within the context of a large organisation utilising a matrix structure. Capable of fostering collaboration and efficiently managing team time to meet project deliverables
  • Communication: Proficient in translating technical and business challenges into understandable terms for senior leaders and key stakeholders, both verbally and in writing. Skilled in tailoring messages to suit the audience, distilling key points without sacrificing important details
  • Technical Mindset: Exhibit proficiency in understanding, simplifying, and explaining complex controls, encompassing both business and IT controls. Additionally, provide coaching to team members when necessary
