Interim HR Administrator - Six months - Newbury

Location: Newbury, West Berkshire, 4 days per week in the office
Hours: 37.5 per week, part-time also considered
Pay rate: £15.00-£18.00 per hour

Reed HR are pleased to partner with this international client as they seek a dedicated and professional HR Administrator to join their small HR team on a temporary basis, covering a period of maternity. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organised, efficient, and looking to enhance their HR experience in a dynamic working environment.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Coordinate administrative processes within the HR department, ensuring efficient workflow and compliance with company policies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including attendance and personal details, in line with data protection regulations.
  • Owning the onboarding process, from all pre-employment checks, to organising new staff inductions
  • Support the HR team with payroll preparation and resolve any related queries.
  • Handle internal and external HR-related inquiries, providing timely assistance and directing issues to the appropriate team members when necessary.
  • Facilitate communication within the HR department by managing phone calls, emails, and other forms of correspondence.
  • Contribute to HR projects, such as data collection for reports and preparation of informational materials.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in an HR administrative role or similar position.
  • Familiarity with HR software systems (HRIS) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of HR procedures and an understanding of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities and sound judgement.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion.

Candidates will be based within an easy commute of Newbury, West Berkshire, and be able to attend offices c.4 days per week.
