Reed Finance are partnered with a large and well-known organisation in the recruitment for an InterimHead of Payroll to lead their well-established team.

Initially this role is on an interim basis and expected for a minimum of 3 months, however could also be considered as a temp to perm if desired.

This is a varied role which will support and oversee timely processing of over 2,000 permanent staff members alongside a number of contractors and ad-hoc staff. Previous experience with all aspects of payroll, LGPS and TPS in a similar role is essential.

As Head of Payroll, your key duties will include:

  • Leading and mentoring a well-established team of payroll professionals
  • Developing internal policies and procedures to streamline processes
  • Overseeing all pension scheme administration including enrolment, contributions and changes across multiple pension schemes including LGPS and TPS
  • Ensuring strict compliance with all regulations, laws and compliance
  • Managing overall delivery of all payroll processing, calculations, technical queries and payroll reporting to the rest of the SLT

Due to the nature of this interim role, previous experience of managing large (1,000+) payrolls in their entirety whilst also managing and developing staff is essential.

Our client are working on a flexible, hybrid basis with 2 days per week required in the office, there are excellent transport links and plenty of free parking on site although living within an easily commutable distance is a must.
