We are excited to announce a fantastic job opportunity for an Interim Head of Group Reporting. This position is with our client, a large PE-backed business with a global presence based in the West Midlands, which is constantly evolving and growing.

As the Interim Head of Group Reporting, you will be responsible for supporting the Group FD in the monthly and quarterly reporting group, reporting and consolidations to the respective PE owners. You will be required to understand the financial intricacies of the business and evaluate the results within individual business units.

Excellent communication skills and adept stakeholder management abilities are essential for this role, as you will be working closely with Divisions throughout the UK and Globally.

Location: West Midlands (2 days pw onsite)

Contract length: 12 months +

Candidate Rate: £600-£800 per day (outside IR35)

Start Date: April/May

Key Responsibilities of the Interim Head of Group Reporting

  • Lead the preparation and review of all group consolidated financial statements and results, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant accounting standards
  • Ensure the organisation's compliance with reporting requirements, including the implementation of new accounting standards
  • Coordinate financial audits and examinations by external auditors, ensuring a smooth and efficient process
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance financial reporting processes and controls to optimise efficiency and accuracy
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies related to financial reporting and compliance
  • Effectively communicate financial results and insights to internal and external stakeholders, including investors and regulatory bodies

Essential Requirements of the Interim Head of Group Reporting

  • Fully qualified in either ACCA or ACA
  • Exposure to working in or auditing a PLC or large corporation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities
