This Interim Head of Finance role is a temporary position which will involve developing the strategy and leading the operational aspects of the Finance function. The position requires a senior leader with experience in the Not- For - Profit or Research sector. The individual will be based in St. Albans and will be responsible for leading various financial initiatives and strategies.

Description

The key responsabilities of the Interim Head of Finance :

• Manage and oversee financial operations within the department.
• Develop and execute financial strategies and plans.
• Provide financial reports and interpret financial information.
• Monitor and interpret cash flows and predict future trends.
• Manage financial transactions and accountancy matters, including audit systems.
• Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports.
• Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.
• Engage with stakeholders on financial matters.

Profile

A successful Interim Head of Finance should have:

• A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• ACA/ACCA/CIMA
• Experience as a Finance Director, leading a finance department
• Experience in the not-for-profit or science and research sector
• Proficiency in data analysis and statistical forecasting.
• Excellent financial and numerical skills.
• Knowledge of financial software applications.
• Strong ethics, with a high level of personal and professional integrity.
