Interim Group Accountant
We Do Group are delighted to be supporting the European Head Office of a US-owned PLC in London, recruiting an Interim Group Accountant on a 6 month assignment.
The role is a true Group Accountant job - challenging the regions and consolidating the reporting with some working capital and balance sheet work thrown in for good measure!
To be considered for this role, you must have been involved in group consolidation - large or small groups considered.
Interviews will be completed by 21st May for a 28th May start date.
Hybrid: Tues & Thurs in the office. Mon, Wed, Fri from home.
Rate: £400-500 per day (inside IR35 via umbrella company)
The Role
- Working within the Group Reporting Team and with 13 Business Units to lead delivery of the monthly consolidation reporting to US parent
- Collaboration with other Group functions including Tax, Legal, Treasury and FP&A
- Supporting on US GAAP accounting assessments and implementing ongoing technical accounting projects across the business
- Supporting on the preparation of quarterly Revenue and other disclosure templates to senior Finance stakeholders in the US for inclusion in external filings
- Working closely with Business Units on the completeness, accuracy and compliance of monthly deliverables in accordance with US GAAP
- Oversight of quarterly assessments of Business Unit and Headquarters legal and restructuring provisions
- Supporting on the preparation of monthly working capital reviews
- Review of intercompany transactions and reconciliations including monthly mismatch reports
- Providing ad-hoc support to the Head of Group Reporting for projects and other deliverables
Your Profile
- Qualified Accountant - ACA, ACCA, CA, CIMA
- Group consolidation experience
- Effective communicator - written & verbal
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel
