Interim Group Accountant

We Do Group are delighted to be supporting a PLC in Woking, recruiting a Group Accountant on a 3 month initial term to cover a spike in workload following a centralisation of activities from a regional structure.

To be considered for the role, you must fulfil the following criteria:

• Qualified Accountant
• PLC group consolidation experience - ideally multiple currencies
• Knowledge of HFM (pulled out from a group level, not loaded in from divisional)

Rate: £450-£600 per day (inside IR35)
Duration: 3 month initial term
Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days from home

The Role

• Assist in the preparation of the Group’s half year and full year financial reporting
• Liaise with the Group’s external audit team as part of their audit of the Group’s financial statements
• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, quarterly financial forecasts and annual strategic plans
• Assist the reporting entities in their completion of their submissions to the Hyperion Financial Management reporting tool
• Produce the Group’s monthly management accounting pack and other monthly reporting packs issued to the Group Board and Executive Management Board
• Provide financial analysis of the Group’s financial results
• Assess the impact of new accounting standards on the Group
• Ensure adherence to the Group’s financial policies by its reporting entities
• Assist in maintaining the Group’s suite of HFM reports including the calculation of its financial KPIs
• Assist with other ad-hoc special financial projects as required

Your Profile

• Qualified Accountant (ACA / CA / ACCA)
• PLC group consolidation experience - ideally multiple currencies
• Knowledge of HFM (pulled out from a group level, not loaded in from divisional)
• Effective communicator - written and verbal
• Available on short notice
