An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Financial Reporting Manager to join a leading organisation in the automotive industry. This role offers an attractive salary of £65,000 on a 6-month fixed term contract, with the flexibility of working 2-3 days on site in Tamworth. This is a fantastic chance to work in a fast-paced environment where you can utilise your superior analytical skills and extensive knowledge of UK GAAP, US GAAP and SOX. This role will provide the candidate with an opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment and will give the chance to utilise and develop your financial reporting skills.

Responsibilities of the Financial Reporting Manager

As a Financial Reporting Manager, you will play a crucial role in delivering and maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and timely delivery of financial reporting. You will have ownership over balance sheet reconciliations, be involved in the production of financial reports, prepare statutory accounts, work closely with auditors and tax consultants, manage FRS developments, review VAT returns, and ensure accurate ONS submissions. Your ability to build strong relationships with colleagues will be key to your success in this role.

  • Responsible for processing and reviewing month end close postings
  • Ownership of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Involvement in the production and timely submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packs for UK and ROI
  • Preparation and timely submission of monthly US GAAP accounting adjustments
  • Oversee and maintain the preparation of SOX control compliance during close processes
  • Prepare statutory accounts for all legal entities within the UK and ROI group
  • Work with auditors and tax consultants for the group to ensure timely and accurate reporting
  • Manage any FRS developments, ensuring impact analysis is completed and required changes implemented in timely manner
  • Review of the quarterly VAT Returns to GL
  • Ensure ONS submissions are completed accurately and on a timely basis

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate with non-finance colleagues
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Extensive knowledge of UK GAAP, US GAAP and SOX
