Joining us in Financial Accounting & Advisory Services (FAAS)

Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) focus is interim finance professionals who provide an on-demand and project focused accounting service for us and our clients. Whilst working on a project, you will typically work (on-site or remotely) alongside the finance team of one of our clients in diverse organisations from all industry sectors ranging from larger SMEs to multi-billion corporates and listed entities.

As an interim Financial Accountant working for Grant Thornton’s Financial Advisory and Accounting Services (FAAS) team, you will be exposed to a variety of challenging short to medium-term projects with a wide range of clients and sectors giving our members exposure to different cultures, industry sectors and pieces of work. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to develop or diversify their skillsets and make a huge impact on our clients.

Skills we’re looking for:

  • Fully qualified member of a professional accounting body such as ACA, ACCA or equivalent.
  • Ideally have experience of working within the industry (various sectors) and/or practice within financial/statutory accounting capacity.
  • Half and full year end accounts preparation and audit liaison.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts.
  • Group accounts consolidation and Intercompany accounting.
  • Accounting for acquisitions, mergers, and disposals.
  • Financial reporting under IFRS, UK GAAP, US GAAP, and international GAAP.
  • Assist with the preparation of year-end statutory accounts and audit.
  • Experience gained in Large Listed companies.
