Interim Financial Accountant East Kent Up to £65k Hybrid Working

A leading Kent employer are looking to appoint an Interim Financial Accountant to join their finance team. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for both financial and management accounts in this broad, hands-on finance role.

The company offer hybrid working options with 3 days in the office.

Responsibilities/Tasks:

• Preparation of all financial accounts and some management accounts
• Provide commentary and analysis for management accounts including budgets and forecasts.
• Maintain balance sheet control with monthly reconciliation of the balance sheet.
• Responsible for bank reconciliations
• You will be responsible for maintaining the fixed asset register
• To maintain an up-to-date awareness and understanding of applicable UK accounting standards, applying them as required.
• Administration for the Office of National Statistics
• Act as main point of contact for all audit enquiries
• Responsible for company VAT returns

Candidate Profile:

• Fully Qualified member of ACA / CIMA / ACCA
• Experience in the preparation of both financial and management accounts
• Communication & Interpersonal - ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial personnel.
• Intermediate Excel skills required
• The ideal candidate will be able to start immediately or with a 4 x week notice
• The contract is expected to run between 9 and 12 x months
