Opportunity to join a leading SME based in Cambridge who are looking for a Finance Manager to join their small finance team. Initially this will be a six month assignment that could lead to a permanent role.

Cambridge based SME offering Hybrid working.

This is a small team and you will have a broad range of responsibilities including implementing changes to ensure best practice.

Your responsibilities:

  • Responsible for preparation of integrated monthly management accounts for UK Group companies including variance analysis, supporting schedules and commentary as applicable in the required timetable.
  • Assist with preparation of integrated budgets and forecasts in a format and timescale suitable for Group reporting.
  • Management and forecasting of UK cash balances.
  • Developing monthly management packs to adhere to Group requirements.
  • Review of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Completion of all statutory returns required including VAT, Intrastat and Government statistics.
  • Assist with annual financial audit.
  • Assist with the implementation of and adherence to sound internal controls and fully documented processes.
  • Checking of payroll prepared by external bureau.
  • Coordination of R&D tax credit information
  • Management and control of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivables functions
  • Lead, manage and develop Finance team.

We are looking for a candidate who can start at short notice, an experienced management accountant / finance manager who knows what good practice looks like and is able to work well with a team.

C£55,000 to £60,000 Hybrid working
