Are you looking for a flexible P/T role in Finance?

Robert Half are actively seeking a P/T Finance Manager to provide interim coverage for maternity leave at a leading organisation in Bristol.

In collaboration with the Finance Director, you will play a crucial role in overseeing financial operations, including management accounts, year-end accounts, budgeting, cash management, and VAT.

Role: Interim Finance Manager/Management Accountant

Location: Bristol (flexible on days/hours)

Salary: £40,000 to £43,000 per annum pro rata (depending on experience)

Hours/Flex: Part-Time - Approx 25 - 30 hours per week, Hybrid/Flex 1-2 days in the office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monthly Management Accounts: Prepare comprehensive monthly management accounts, project accounts, and Board reports.
  • Statutory Accounts & Audit: Coordinate the preparation of year-end information for statutory audits, engaging with auditors, and producing meticulous Year End Audit files.
  • Financial Reporting: Organise and deliver financial information for project audits, and generate monthly financial reports for projects and project grant claims.
  • VAT Management: Handle the preparation of quarterly VAT returns and provide expert advice on VAT treatment for funding streams and projects.
  • Cash/Bank Oversight: Serve as the key contact for the bank, optimising interest on bank balances, and authorising cheque/BACS runs.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Demonstrate expertise in preparing budgets and forecasts for assigned projects, working closely with the MD and management team for annual budgets and new projects.
  • Insurance Coordination: Skillfully coordinate the annual insurance renewal process.
  • Ad-Hoc Support: Tackle ad-hoc reports efficiently and respond promptly to management queries, providing support to managers with financial inquiries.
  • Procedure Management: Ensure financial procedures are consistently up-to-date.
