Finance Manager | Award Winning Fast Growth Scale-Up | 6 Month Contract

The Company:

Harmonic is proud to announce that we are working exclusively with one of London's most exciting values led start-ups creating in the Real Estate sector.

Only a few years into the journey our client have won multiple industry awards and are continuing to see out a period of rapid expansion across their group with plans to scale in 2024. Turnover is now c.£20m and they have seen Y-o-Y growth over the past 3 years which has included the business now generating a healthy profit with robust plans to scale through acquisitions over the next 12 months and for turnover to reach c.£35m.

The Role:

They are looking for an Interim Finance Manager to join for a period of 3-6 months, with potential to go permanent. Based in Central London from a fantastic space, you will be joining an organisation renowned for their culture.

As the Finance Manager role will work alongside the Head of Finance and CFO to manage the day-to-day running of the finance function which includes management of a team of 3. As well as ensuring both quality and timely output of finance information this role will be integral to linking up operations to finance so there will be a healthy amount of business partnering involved.

The role:

The Finance Manager role will look to oversee:

  • Manage the production of Management Accounts providing insightful commentary and analysis.
  • Own the day-to-day Finance piece covering AP, AR, Credit Control with a view to streamlining and automating these processes and managing the team of 3 responsible for these areas.
  • Own the month-end process looking to continuously improve this process
  • Support the Head of Finance with improvement and production of FP&A, financial analysis and financial modelling as they expand their operations.
  • Provide financial analysis and decision support to Sales and Marketing teams
  • Support the Head of Finance with Year-End Statutory Reporting (IFRS) liaising with Auditors
  • Implement improved financial controls

What we need to see:

  • Qualified Accountant ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  • Excellent technical experience or audit background
  • Strong Financial Modelling skills
  • Ability to Partner with Senior Decision Makers
  • Excellent Communicator
  • Willingness to roll your sleeves up and get stuck into the detail

What we would like to see:

  • SME or Start-up experience
  • Experience driving commercial decisions and making strategic inputs
  • Experience in real estate / hospitality / multisite / hotels / gym groups / venues or services apartments would be advantageous

Day Rate: £325-£400 (Inside IR35)
