Our client is a well established international business operating within the Data Networks and Telecoms & Tech Industry with a UK Head Office based to the North of Nottingham within easy access to Alfreton / Mansfield / Sutton in Ashfield and given the strong Hybrid Working offering very much commutable from across the East Midlands.

As part of the companies continued expansion within the UK Market FRS have been enlisted to assist with the recruitment of a Finance Director / Head of Finance to join the business.
Being a newly created position, this role will initially be offered on an Interim basis for a period of 6-12 months however does have great promise for permanent conversion once the role has been fully scoped.

Overview
My client is continuing to grow rapidly and to support the next stage of our growth in the UK they now require their first No 1 in Finance to Operate as Finance Director / Head of Finance.
This position is a key role in the UK business but also the wider Group.
As the No 1 in UK Finance, your responsibilities will include overseeing end-to-end finance operations, financial planning and analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, looking to make improvements to procedures and controls, as well as ad-hoc projects and requests as and when they come up.
Responsible for the financial health of the Business. Producing financial reports and developing strategies based on financial research. Guiding senior executives in making sound business decisions in the long and short term.

Duties
Month-end, Quarter-end and Year-end close processes. Produce capex/opex financial and operational reporting packages and variance analysis for Business and Finance leadership.
Manage the transactional finance team, including the following ongoing tasks
• Oversee the overall performance of direct reports
• Ensure KPIs are communicated and monitored
• Oversee Debtors and Creditors
• Payment Runs
• Bank reconciliations
• Inter company accounts and reconciliations
• Develop financial approval processes and track compliance
• Cash-flow forecasting
• Oversea expense claims and payments
• All HMRC related compliance - VAT and tax returns
• Allocation and tracking of capital expenditure o Corporation Tax analysis
Manage the month end process and reporting:
• Set budgets, provide forecasts and continuously improve financial processes.
• Preparation of monthly management accounts, analysing performance against budget
• Prepare reports for investors and board to internal and external deadlines
• Responsible for month end process adhering to internal deadlines
• Monthly cost reporting, ensuring spend has been allocated correctly
• Maintain the fixed asset register
• Review and analyse monthly P&L and Balance Sheet reconciliations ensuring timely resolution of reconciling items and constant process improvement.
Other:
• Provide key financial information to the business for operational decisions in relation to potential investments, business case variances and forecasting
• Ensure integrity of controls, and financial records, and compliance across the business
• Lead preparation for the annual audit and Statutory Accounts
• Implement the recommendations from both internal and external audit reviews across the business
• Work with colleagues across the business to identify and implement performance improvements
• Provide Executive Management with financial foresight and changes needed to implement financial decisions.
• Develop and implement organisational policies (such as the expense policies)
Key Experience
Excel financial modelling and delivering analytical presentations & Stakeholder management experience
Demonstrated experience building and managing relationships with business partners and other cross-functional stakeholders
Preparation of statutory accounts & Experience running annual audits
Team builder and clear communicator
Preparing multi-million budgets
Oversee the overall performance of direct reports and ensure KPI’s are well communicated and monitored.
Experience within global organisations. Experience within Indian owned global organisations would be an advantage.
Systems skills and knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, Salesforce, Tableau, EPM, G-Suite, SAP/Oracle
Strong decision making and problem solving skills

The ideal candidate for this position will be formally qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) and have at least 3-5 years’ experience gained in a similar finance leadership position.
Those operating as Finance Manager / Financial Controller / Head of Finance wishing to take the step into a No 1 / Finance Director role will be considered.
Those that are QBE but have demonstrated transferable experience will be considered for this position.

Previous experience gained within Telecoms, Data or Tech focused industries is also desirable.
Experience of reporting into a International parent company is also desirable.
This position can be offered on either a Temporary or FTC basis with a initial terms of 6-12 months expected

A PAYE salary of £80,000 to £100,000 coupled with Benefits and Bonus can be offered or Day Rate Equivalent
