Interim Finance Business Partner - Slough (Hybrid) - £300 - £400 per day (6 months)

Our Client:

Working for a department of a local authority you will be supporting departments that truly make a difference to those they serve in their local communities. Reporting to the Finance Director you will assist with the management of budgets, explaining financial information to non-finance professionals.

The Role:

  • Attend senior leadership meetings to discuss financial performance and present monthly reports
  • Prepare management accounts
  • Working with key stakeholders to drive strategic direction
  • Process and systems improvements
  • Communicate and negotiate with a wide variety of external contractors, suppliers and partners
  • Drive budget preparation in collaboration with senior departmental leaders
  • Assist with the 3 year plan
  • Create financial models to provide effective tools for understanding cost drivers and the impacts of budgets
  • Oversee treasury management functions, maintaining cashflow projections
  • Ensure statutory returns are submitted in line with government timelines

About You

You will be a qualified accountant with experience of working in councils or local governments. You will be a strong communicator with sound analytical skills.
