We are currently looking for a skilled and experienced Interim Development Consultant to join our team in the Rotherham area.

The Role:

• To work within the Strategic Asset Management Team to provide senior professional property consultancy advice to the Council on Property and Development issues, contributing towards the successful development of a number of key regeneration/development sites.
• You will be working within a small team to take on varied and challenging tasks to support the Council in the delivery of our ambitious programme of development, which includes the regeneration of our town centres and a substantial program of residential development.
• As lead professional you will support, deliver, manage, and supervise complex projects including the negotiation and the review, acquisition, and disposal of all types of land and property assets and interests including compulsory purchase projects both acting on behalf of asset management service and other departments within the council.

The Candidate:

• Be able to demonstrate considerable experience and knowledge in a property-based surveying environment.
• Experience of dealing with complex asset and property matters, such as acquisitions, disposals, property management
• Knowledge of current Local Government democratic processes and understanding of the political context
• Ability to write and present complex reports, expressing innovation in a clear and logical manner to a wide variety of people
• Using a range of computer applications and ICT including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentation software, internet, and e-mail
• Have a Level 7 qualification (e.g., Post Graduate Certificates and Diplomas) Or have a Level 6 Qualifications (e.g., Honours Degree) alongside considerable practical work experience within a Property / Asset Management environment with experience of managing a team of professional staff
• Be a RICS Accredited Chartered Surveyor/ Member of the Chartered Institute of Builders (MCIOB) or equivalent with considerable post qualification experience
