Role: Category Manager

Rate: £425 - £450

Location: Liverpool

Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting a Category Manager to join a Public Sector organisation in Liverpool on a 6-month contract. The role will focus on projects within Construction and/or Estates and Facilities.

The Role:

  • Lead on procurement projects to achieve cashable savings and added value opportunities
  • Prepare tender documentation and manage full processes above threshold
  • Support procurement strategy delivery within assigned category areas
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Carry out bench marking activities and market analysis
  • Negotiate with suppliers
  • Advise on procurement process and look to improve procedures where possible

The Person:

  • Previous experience within the Public Sector
  • PCR2015 knowledge
  • Ability to work multiple projects at once
  • MCIPS or working towards desirable
  • Available at short notice
