Job Title: Interim Accountant
Duration: 3 Months (with potential for extension)
Qualifications: ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualified
Location: Hybrid - 3 days in-office, 2 days remote

We are seeking an experienced Interim Accountant to join a proactive finance team for one of our clients, for a minimum 3-month period. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting, be technically competent, and have a proactive approach to supporting the wider finance function.

Responsibilities:
* Support the wider finance team with day-to-day accounting tasks.
* Implement and maintain best practice procedures.
* Establish and enforce financial controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.
* Conduct month-end reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data.
* Prepare and submit VAT returns in a timely manner.
* Identify and flag any issues, proposing and implementing solutions.

Requirements:

* ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualification.
* Proven experience in a similar accounting role.
* Strong knowledge of best practice accounting principles.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Working Arrangement:

In-office presence required 3 days a week, with the flexibility to work remotely for 2 days.
