Insurance Renewals Consultant

Location: Cardiff, Wales

Salary Range: £21,000 to £25,000 per annum (higher bands require experience/Cert CII/Product knowledge) + bonus circa £2,500 per annum and good company benefits

Our client, a highly reputable insurance brokerage located in Cardiff, Wales, is seeking a motivated and ambitious individual to join their team as an Insurance Renewals Consultant. As a recruitment agency partnering with this company, we are on the lookout for candidates with the right attitude, a desire to learn, and excellent communication skills. While customer service experience is preferred, we are willing to consider recent graduates who are eager to kick-start their career in the insurance industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing and overseeing the renewal process for existing insurance policies, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients by providing exceptional service and offering suitable insurance products.
  • Collaborating with insurance underwriters to negotiate the best possible rates and coverage options for clients during the renewal process.
  • Actively engaging with customers through various channels, including phone calls, emails, and face-to-face meetings, to address inquiries, resolve concerns, and provide expert guidance.
  • Demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of insurance products, policies, and industry regulations to ensure accurate guidance is provided to clients during the renewal process.
  • Conducting thorough reviews of client portfolios to identify potential up-selling or cross-selling opportunities.
  • Utilizing company databases and systems to accurately record client information, policy updates, and any relevant communication.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and product offerings to ensure clients receive the most current and relevant information.
  • Collaborating with the broader team to share knowledge, best practices, and contribute to the overall success of the company.

Requirements:

A positive attitude with a strong willingness to learn and grow within the insurance industry.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with clients and team members.

Ideally, previous customer service experience that showcases strong interpersonal skills and empathy.

Graduates with a keen interest in the insurance sector are encouraged to apply.

Basic knowledge of insurance products and policies is preferred, but not essential.

Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple client accounts and deadlines effectively.

The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.

Proficiency in using various computer systems and databases to accurately input and retrieve information.

A genuine interest in providing outstanding customer service and building long-term client relationships.
