Impression Recruitment are pleased to be searching for a self-motivated and detailed Insurance Administrator on behalf of our client based in Harrogate. You will be joining a close-knit team who operate within the insurance sector and pride themselves on delivering outstanding levels of customer service to their nationwide client base. Previous experience in Administration would be a bonus but our client is primarily looking for an individual who has a keen eye for attention to detail and accuracy when handling administrative tasks.

As a successful Insurance Administrator your duties will include:
  • Administration of clients' insurance requirements daily including general enquiries at renewal, mid-term adjustments and accounting procedures.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for client servicing issues from clients, insurers and third parties in a professional and timely manner.
  • Providing technical, administrative and customer service support to the insurance sales executives.
  • Providing prompt advice to new and existing customers regarding their insurance needs and risk management issues.
  • Process administration of mid-term adjustments.
  • Achieving agreed individual forecasts, plans and targets for the development of existing and new customers.
  • Adhering to FSA regulations and requirements, promoting a compliant working style.
  • Administration of financial accounts to assist with credit control.

Skills required to be successful in your application:

  • Effective, professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of / willingness to learn the principles, practices and legalities of commercial insurances.
  • High level of organisational ability, self-discipline and motivation.
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Positive approach to the work environment and culture, including respectful cooperation with colleagues.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Brilliant interpersonal skills and ability to build successful, mutually beneficial relationships.
  • A positive and optimistic approach.

In return the successful Insurance Administrator will receive a salary of between £24,000 - £30,000 depending on experience and they will work on a full-time permanent basis. The company are pleased to offer further benefits which include discretionary bonus scheme, 25 days annual leave, health insurance amongst others.
