This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has experience working in the insurance industry and is looking for a way to get into underwriting as the successful candidate will be supported through CII qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer the telephone in a polite and professional manner, dealing with the query as appropriate and gathering relevant information from the customer and entering it into the Company computer systems.
- Manage and administer:
- New business quotations
- Issue new business
- Issue Renewals
- Mid-term adjustments
- Producing documentation
- All other administration duties.
- Produce accurate, well written, grammatically correct, typed correspondence that is sent in a timely manner to the customer.
- Accurate and timely correspondence to be sent to the correct address and a copy scanned to the relevant file.
- Update files with scanned, legible and complete information.
- To understand own area of authority and recognise if the customer call / query needs to be passed to a senior member of the team to advise or resolve.
- At different times, you may be required to work as either part of a team or independently using your own initiative. On many occasions, you will be expected to competently handle any tasks assigned to you without the need for constant supervision. On other occasions, you will be part of a task that involves the wider team, such as regular meetings.
- Any other duties as the Company may require.
- Excellent communication skills including listening, speaking and writing.
- Excellent computer skills including Excel and Word.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous insurance industry experience
