After many years in the industry they are trusted suppliers to many companies around the world for their bespoke products that are built on site.

Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an Installation & Commissioning Engineer to work on exciting projects within the business.

As a member of the Engineering team, your role involves installation and commissioning of capital equipment used within a variety of industrial settings.

Your background may be as a mechanical or electrical fitter in installations or from a maintenance engineering background as the skills are easily transferrable.

This is a varied role that would include:-

  • Installation, Commissioning, and testing of capital equipment used within a variety of industrial settings, on customer sites, this will be within the UK and occasionally overseas (fully expensed and considerable additional pay arrangements) (Only occasional travel which can be explained on application).
  • Offering Customer support while working on site and provide remote and onsite technical support for customers as and when required once the installation and commissioning is complete.
  • Carry-out factory final assembly and strip-down and shipping preparation activities in line with production and customer deadlines.
  • Inspection, fault diagnosis, servicing, and repairs on industrial / capital equipment under the direction and support of the engineering team using authorised processes and technical information.
  • Working with customers to achieve system functionality sign-off.
  • Fully training operators in the use and maintenance of the equipment.
  • Identify opportunities to improve systems and presenting these to team members and participate in internal design reviews on existing or potential projects.
  • Assist in the development of Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS) for work undertaken.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Installation, testing, and commissioning of capital equipment experience or background as a Maintenance Engineer.
  • Working with Hydraulics, Pneumatics and Welding.
  • Engineering qualification (degree / HND / BTEC) or relevant trade Apprenticeship. Or be qualified by experience.
  • The role requires mostly mechanical fitting skills, but should you be multi-skilled with electrical knowledge/experience that would also be suitable, although they already have qualified electrical engineers on site, should your skills lie mostly in mechanical. They are also to provide training to upskill electrical knowledge/qualifications.
  • Electrical work will involve basic fault finding and control panel work.
  • CSCS / ECS Gold card desirable but not essential.
