Michelle Denny Recruitment is partnering with Malthouse Security to find them an additional keen and capable Installation Engineer for their communications and security system customers, who are located across East Anglia.You may already be experienced although if you've always wanted to find a way into this industry and you're keen to learn, this could be a great way in. All you'll need is to be handy with hand tools and have a positive, cheerful and can-do attitude. Salary is around £25,000pa with core hours of 08:30am - 17:00pm (with rotas detailed below). You'll have sole use of a company van and will be supplied with all the small tools you'll need plus a mobile phone, tablet and fuel card.


With Malthouse Security's customers based across Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex, you'll be working from home (ideally based with a 30 mile radius of Diss, Bury St Edmunds or Ipswich), and will only occasionally have the need to pop in to the office. You'll be scheduled into the rota well in advance, so you'll know when you're working and when you've time off. You'll be attending fault calls, repairs and some small works installation across a multitude of homes and businesses.


You'll be working on the low voltage systems below:


  • Senior call systems
  • Nurse/lifeline call systems
  • CCTV fire alarms
  • Auto doors
  • Smoke vents
  • Intruder alarms
  • Door entry and access control

You'll be included in the schedule rota which is spread between 4 engineers. You'll be on call one night per week (on a pre-designated Mon, Tues, Weds or Thurs) and two weekends per month (Fri, Sat and/or Sun) but don't worry, you can carry on with your life, as if any calls come through, they'll be directed to your mobile so you can finish your shopping or meal before you head to your call!


Because you will sometimes be visiting vulnerable people, you will be required to take DBS check, which will be funded by the company. You will also need a full and valid UK driving licence.
