Information Security Vendor Assessor (PAYE 12 Month Contract)
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Location: Hatfield, Hertfordshire
  • Salary: Competitive plus bonus (PAYE)

We are seeking an Information Security Vendor Assessor to conduct risk assessments on vendors providing services within the EMEA region. The successful candidate will report on findings and collaborate with internal departments, including legal, to ensure security requirements are integrated into contractual agreements.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Conduct business impact assessments to evaluate potential risks from vendor engagements.
  • Assign and support the completion of vendor questionnaires to assist with risk assessment.
  • Perform thorough due diligence assessments based on vendor responses and report results in a timely manner.
  • Recommend risk reduction activities and work with relevant teams to implement these.
  • Collaborate with the legal team to ensure security clauses are included in contractual obligations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in IT Security / Governance, Risk and Compliance roles.
  • In-depth knowledge of risk assessment and information security management.
  • Experience with third-party risk assessments in line with industry best practices.
  • Familiarity with IT control frameworks such as ISO 27001.
  • Ability to develop and execute remediation plans for security risks.
  • Experience with audit work to achieve compliance with Information Security standards.
  • Broad knowledge of IT technology platforms, products, and services.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical domains.
  • Proven ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Skills and Aptitude:
  • Strong knowledge of information security and data protection principles.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and reporting skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Good planning, organisation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload effectively.
  • Proactive, self-starter with a systematic and disciplined approach.
  • Proficiency with standard desktop applications.
