Job description

Tradebe are looking for an Industrial Services Senior Operative for our site in Knowsley, Liverpool.

The role involves:

  • To supervise and deliver Industrial services projects efficiently and manage the team of operatives (employed and agency) to deliver on time in full in line with project scope.
  • To ensure compliance with operating procedures, risk assessments and method statements
  • To always maintain the safety of all personnel and members of the public as the number one priority
  • To work on any Transfers Division location as directed in the absence of Industrial Services projects

The person

  • Experience in Industrial Services/ chemical waste industry
  • Integrity and judgement
  • Hands on and proactive attitude to pursue tasks
  • An ability to work on one's own initiative
  • Communication skills to provide rounded opinions and clear recommendations
  • Experience building strong working relationships across different seniority grades

The role

  • Organisation and timely completion of allocated duties.
  • Ensure all work areas are safe, secure, clean, and tidy by the end of each working day, including any company transport used.
  • Assist in operational duties as required by Management in line with all applicable works procedures and guidelines available.
  • Reporting of Environmental/H&S/Operational issues arising ASAP.
  • Liaise with Operational/Technical and other departments as required to ensure activities performed efficiently, effectively and within legislative guidelines.
  • Support of maintenance/operational/H&S issues arising on site, including remedial actions and reporting.
  • Ensure operational records/reports and relevant documents are produced accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of vehicles when required.
  • Provide cover for others during scheduled absence.
