£45,000 + Van + Overtime (£65,000 OTE) + Bonus + Benefits

The Client

Our client is a leading supplier of plant, equipment, spares and consumables to the surface finishing industry, with a wide product range which includes design and installation of full plants, sale of powder coating equipment, sale of spares and consumables, sales and hire of spray-painting equipment and abrasive blasting equipment. Customers range from small independent operators to major blue-chip companies with multi-site manufacturing facilities.

The Role is primarily remote but also working at the local site in Tipton and reporting directly to the Operations Manager. The Company have been trading since 1978 and are immensely proud of the good reputation that the Company has within the industry; The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining this reputation, whilst also developing further business growth opportunities.

The Role

  • To complete onsite gas & electrical checks, service gas burner systems, diagnose faults and carrying out repairs and services to all plant systems, control panels and equipment.
  • Industrial oven Gas burner commissioning, balancing and 'Datapaq’ reporting.
  • Telephone support giving remote assessments of customer plant breakdowns.
  • Timely preparation of comprehensive service visit reports, detailing works completed and advising of any spares or remedial works required.
  • Specifying spares items/consumables requiring purchasing to Service Administrator.
  • Stock monitoring and management of internal spares/consumable stores.
  • Day to day office tasks, customers relations and other ad-hoc duties.
  • Assist internal sales/admin staff during peak workloads.
  • Liaise with other group companies as and when required.
  • Travel, U.K. wide visits to existing, new or potential customers with stop overs as and when required.

The Person

  • Ideally qualified to Blue Flame or GAS SAFE as a minimum.
  • Ideally Electrical Installations 18th Edition wiring regulations - 2019.
  • Ability to travel and have flexibility in working hours as required due to customer locations & nature of the role.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a confident communicator, able to communicate face to face and over the telephone in a confident friendly manner.
  • Self-motivated, reliable and able to skilfully manage your personal time and adhere to strict deadlines, excellent organisational skills are essential.
  • Maintain excellent customer service with knowledge, confidence and experience to maintain existing, and generate new business.
  • Attention to detail, particularly in relation to quality of work & customer satisfaction.
  • Always maintain a positive outlook and attitude.
  • Ability to work at all levels, autonomously and as part of a team.
