Industrial and Hydraulic Engineer

Industrial and Hydraulic Engineer required for my client based in Portland, Dorset, who work heavily within the these industries of engineering, as well as marine and mechanical.

The successful engineer will investigate equipment failures and difficulties, diagnose faulty operations and make recommendations for repair and maintenance to companies products, projects and production line.

• Fault finding, repairs, maintenance and servicing duties.
• Assembly from drawings and drawing reviews.
• Support, survey and overhaul hydraulic equipment / components.
• Responsible for completion of your own job sheets and project descriptions.
• Identifying problems/possible errors in drawings and engineering
• Arrange specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings or components.
• Visiting customer sites to resolve mechanical or hydraulic issues.
• Service & Maintenance of a variety of industrial and hydraulic plant and machinery.
• Identifying any personnel training needs
• Supervise junior engineers and sub-contractors.
• Ensure compliance with all company H & S and Environmental policies and procedures.

Industrial and Hydraulic Engineer Position Requirements

• Experience working in a related / similar position and field of engineering.
• Engineering qualifications within the relevant subjects (mechanical, hydraulics, marine).
• Have your own tools and a full UK driving licence.
• Based within a commutable distance of Portland, Dorset.

• Salary - £35,000 to £45,000 - dependent upon experience.
• Full time position - Monday to Friday - 42.5 hours a week.
• Holiday package - 30 days (including bank holidays).
