Page Personnel are partnering with an exciting business who are looking for an Indirect Tax Consultant to join their accountancy team on a full time permanent basis.

Client Details

Our client is a business that has seen rapid growth over the past 12 months. They are based in Southampton and do require travel to their offices.

Description

As the Indirect Tax Consultant, you will be responsible for:

  • Provide high-quality VAT consultancy and business advice to your client portfolio continuously.
  • Calculate and file European VAT returns meticulously and promptly, ensuring the highest level of accuracy.
  • Advise clients on VAT liabilities, guide them on tax payments, proactively remind them of outstanding returns, and ensure compliance with European filings, EC Sales, and Intrastat reporting as required.
  • Communicate with tax offices regarding clients' accounts and obligations.
  • Conduct VAT audits/investigations in collaboration with tax offices related to your client portfolio.
  • Manage clients' accounts in coordination with the Credit Control Department. Stay consistently updated with VAT law and any changes in legislation.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to build trust, rapport, and strong relationships within your portfolio.
  • Represent the company professionally at events/webinars.
  • Train, support, and develop new team members.
  • Collaborate positively and enthusiastically with the team.
  • Actively engage with Managers and Directors to suggest contributions for improving procedures.

Profile

To be successful for the Indirect Tax Consultant position, you must:

  • Experience working in Law/VAT/Accountancy/Finance.
  • Confident and with excellent communication skills for client interaction and engagement (Email, Phone, and face to face (ad hoc)).
  • Works well in a team as well as independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organised and proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent multi-tasking ability.

Job Offer

Salary £25,000 - £35,000
