Global engineering business require an Indirect Buyer on a 12 mth FTC. Applicants need both operational and strategic procurement expertise, have previous indirect procurement experience and be competent in use of procurement data and systems.

The Indirect Buyer will be responsible for indirect procurement activities across a number of UK sites. Reporting to a Head of Procurement, the Indirect Buyer will be the sole indirect procurement resource for the business.

Specific duties of the Indirect Buyer include:

  • Managing 200+ suppliers - placing orders, expediting and resolving invoice queries.
  • Managing vendor relationships, RFQs and tenders, evaluating, challenging and negotiating
  • Supply market intelligence across; IT, Telecoms, professional services, Capex, MRO, FM, utilities, fleet and site services' supplier landscapes
  • Stakeholder management and engagement to understand requirements
  • Use of P2P system; advising procurement colleagues and stakeholders in use of procurement data, tools, systems

Indirect Buyer applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Indirect procurement experience - FM, Utilities, IT, Telecoms, Capex, Packaging, MRO, Fleet etc
  • Familiar with using data to drive procurement decisions
  • Happy performing operational tasks
  • Positive, pro-active individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working on a FTC basis for 12 month
  • Comfortable with hybrid working - 3 and 2 split, following period of onboarding
