Independent Living Coordinator

Sheltered Scheme Manager required in Ormskirk, 18.5 hours per week, ongoing temporary until October 2024.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist with lettings, viewings, sign-ups and inductions for new residents
• Encourage independent living and create a positive environment for resident involvement
• Carry out daily wellbeing calls to tenants and respond to emergency calls via the emergency system
• Property inspections, health & safety checks, fire safety checks and reporting repairs
• Completing referrals for aids, adaptations and assistive technology
• Provide advice on low level rent arrears and assist with tenancy sustainment, ensuring residents are aware of their rights and responsibilities within the tenancy agreement
• Support residents with welfare benefit applications and providing advice in relation to benefit claims

What you'll need to succeed

• Experience of working in the housing sector with older and vulnerable people
• Experience of completing assessments & developing support plans, providing budgeting advice and knowledge of welfare benefit system
• Knowledge & experience of safeguarding practices and procedures, crisis management, risk minimisation and managing personal resilience

What you'll get in return

• Weekly pay
• Hourly rates between £15.21 - £16.73 per hour
• Option to be paid via PAYE or Umbrella
• 18.5 hour per week contract with flexibility over working days/hours
• Ongoing temp contract until at least October 2024
